For dinner, we picked up some carry out arepas from Caracas because well, the restaurant itself is packed ALL the time.
Venezuelan arepas themselves are delicious--puffy yet chewy masa-loaded "buns" with delicious fillings like cheese, plaintains, and avocadoes.
But what makes them utterly addicting is the sauce:
I don't know if it's a typical sauce or special to Caracas but it's so darn good. All I can discern is garlic. If anyone has a recipe, I'm all ears.
Topped off with a new wheat beer that my BIL picked up:
Another great and delicious day.
